To earn the Carbon-Conscious Accreditation, your website must satisfy four mandatory engineering criteria:
< 0.2g CO2 / Page
Average emissions must fall below 0.2g CO2 per initial pageview (tested on 4G connection).
100% Green Hosting
Datacenters must operate on certified renewable energy or verified PPA power purchase agreements.
< 500 KB Transfer
Total compressed payload size across images, CSS, and JS scripts should stay under 500 KB budget.
Carbon Offset Match
Remaining unavoidable emissions must be sequestered via accredited nature restoration projects.
